Features / Build logs
A public build log for everything you make with AI
Write entries as you build. Each one is numbered inside its project, so the log reads from the first idea to the day it went live.
What a build log is
On vibFolio a post is called an entry. When you attach an entry to a project it takes the next number, so a project called Tidepool gets TIDEPOOL/001, TIDEPOOL/002 and so on. A number is never reused, which is what makes the log trustworthy: a deleted entry leaves a gap, so nothing is removed quietly.
A build log is not a changelog and not a blog. It is a running record of decisions, dead ends and small wins, written while you are still inside them.
Why the numbering matters
A numbered log is proof of work. When you read entry 041 you know it was the 41st written into that project, and you can read the log from the beginning. A reader can start at 001 and watch an idea become a product in order.
If a builder deletes their account, the entries they wrote into someone else’s log keep their numbers and lose their words, so a shared log is never damaged by someone leaving.
Milestones and stage moves
Mark an entry as a milestone when it matters, such as opening a beta or launching. Entries can also announce a stage move, from idea to building to beta to live, and the log shows it where it happened.
- Milestones are drawn differently on the timeline, so the big moments stand out.
- Stage moves are part of the entry, so the explanation travels with the change.
- You can read any log newest first, or from entry 001 forward.
Readable without an account
Every profile, project and entry is public. Visitors who are not signed in can read the whole log, and each entry has its own page with a share card.
Common questions
Do I have to attach every entry to a project?
No. An entry can stand alone. Attach it to a project when it belongs to that project’s story and it will take the next number in that log.
Can I delete an entry?
You can delete your own entries. A deleted entry’s number is never reused, so the log shows a gap.
Who can read my build log?
Anyone with the link. Profiles, projects and entries are public, including to people who are not signed in.
