Superpowers Plugin
A plugin of composable skills that gives a coding agent a set way of working: brainstorm a design, write a step-by-step plan, build it test-first with subagents, then review before merging.
Superpowers is a plugin by Jesse Vincent and Prime Radiant, MIT licensed, that describes itself as a software development methodology for coding agents built from composable skills. Before writing code the agent brainstorms and shows you a design in short sections. Once you approve, it sets up a git worktree, writes a plan of small tasks with exact file paths and verification steps, then carries it out, either with a fresh subagent per task and a review after each, or inline in one session. Other skills cover test-driven development, systematic debugging, code review and finishing a branch. For Claude Code the README gives /plugin install superpowers@claude-plugins-official, from Anthropic's official marketplace. It also documents installs for Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, OpenCode and several other agents, each installed separately. We think it suits a feature large enough that a plan saves time, where you want the agent to slow down, agree on the design with you, and prove each step with tests rather than jump straight into code. A caution: the README calls its workflows mandatory rather than suggestions, and its test-driven development skill deletes code written before its tests, which is a lot of ceremony for a one-line fix. The brainstorming skill's optional visual companion loads a logo from Prime Radiant's site that reports the version in use; setting SUPERPOWERS_DISABLE_TELEMETRY turns that off.
