Notion MCP MCP server

Lets an AI agent search, read, create and update pages and databases in your Notion workspace, such as the specs and notes you keep for an app.

Write-up

Notion MCP is Notion's hosted server for connecting an AI client to a Notion workspace. Once you authorize it, the client can read and update content you can access. Its tools include notion-search, notion-fetch for reading a page or database by URL or ID, notion-create-pages and notion-update-page, database and view creation, notion-query-data-sources for querying data, and tools for comments, users and teamspaces. The server is at https://mcp.notion.com/mcp, with an SSE fallback at https://mcp.notion.com/sse. For Claude Code the docs give: claude mcp add --transport http notion https://mcp.notion.com/mcp, then run /mcp and complete the OAuth flow. They also list Codex, Cursor, fx, Hermes, Devin, Pi, VS Code with GitHub Copilot and Antigravity. We would add it if your product specs, roadmap or build notes live in Notion: the agent can read the spec before it starts and write a short summary back when a piece ships. It currently requires the interactive OAuth flow; non-interactive authorization is not supported yet. Notion's security guidance warns that a malicious instruction placed in page content could lead a client to disclose data or change content, so treat what the tools return as untrusted and turn on confirmation before actions that change content. The older open-source notion-mcp-server is no longer actively maintained.
